Week 3 Creativity - Personal Reflection

What is the creativity?
Creativity is a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight.

Description
Creativity is the ability to see something in a new way, to see and solve problems no one else may know exists, and to engage in mental and physical experiences that are new, unique, or different. Creativity is a critical aspect of a person's life, starting from inside the womb onward through adulthood.

From Human Motivation, 3rd ed., by Robert E. Franken:
Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or
possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others.

The video above is the professor Ken Robbison’s speech on ‘Do school kill creativity?’ Well, let’s take the example of little girl discovered her talent on dancing. I think not eveyone can discover their own ability or talent in that age, even their parents.

If the school have the right attitude on helping childrens find their own abilty then the problem solved. The school should provide every possible choices according to different child but not keep telling the children you must study in order to survive!
